锦字相催鸟急飞，郎君暂脱老莱衣。

遥想双眉待人画，行看五马送潮归。

望夫山上花犹发，新妇江边莺未稀。

令秩和鸣真可羡，此行谁道负春辉。

注释

「锦字」：书信 letter
「相催」：互相催促 urge each other
「鸟急飞」：鸟儿急速飞 fly rapidly
「郎君」：指新郎 bridegroom
「暂脱」：暂时脱下 temporarily take off
「老莱衣」：相传春秋时楚国老莱子，七十岁还常常穿着彩色衣服，模仿儿童，使双亲欢乐。这里指新郎暂时脱下平常衣服去迎亲。 It is said that in the Spring and Autumn Period, Laolaizi in the State of Chu still often wore colorful clothes at the age of seventy, imitating children to make his parents happy. Here it refers to the bridegroom temporarily taking off his ordinary clothes to welcome his bride.
「遥想」：远远地想象 imagine from afar
「双眉」：指新娘的眉毛 eyebrows of the bride
「待人画」：等待人来描绘 waiting to be painted
「行看」：且看 look and see
「五马」：太守的代称 the title of a prefect
「送潮归」：送潮水归去 see the tide go back
「望夫山」：山名 Mountain of the Expecting Wife
「花犹发」：花仍然开放 flowers still bloom
「新妇江边」：新娘所在的江边 by the river where the bride is
「莺未稀」：莺鸟还不少 there are still many warblers
「令秩」：美好的婚姻 happy marriage
「和鸣」：和谐地鸣叫 sing in harmony
「真可羡」：真值得羡慕 really enviable
「此行」：这次行程 this journey
「负春辉」：辜负春光 disappoint the spring light
